Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Alconbury at 2115LT on a mine laying operation. On return, the pilot landed at RAF Warboys and ran off the end of the runway. At the time, he was under the impression he had arrived at RAF Wyton, which had a much longer runway. The airplane was not repairable and all six crew members were uninjured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Wyton at 2235LT on an operation to Essen. It was badly damaged by the German Flak but the crew managed to return to England. On approach to RAF Wyton at night, the crew was forced to go around when control was lost. The airplane stalled and crashed in Godmanchester. Six crew members were injured and two others were killed.

The airplane was engaged in a local test flight. It crashed almost immediately on takeoff after developing an uncontrolled swing. The aircraft came to a stop and a fire broke out in one of the engines on the port wing. No serious injuries reported.Crew:

The airplane was on a transit flight when it was wrecked at 1234LT after landing in poor visibility at RAF Wyton. Shortly after touchdown, and while still travelling at speed, the pilot tried to make a sharp turn and the undercarriage gave way under the strain. All eight crew members evacuated safely and the airplane was damaged beyond repair.

The crew was engaged in a night training exercise out from RAF Warboys. While taxiing for takeoff, the airplane collided with a parked Blenheim registered L6808 and came to a halt. The airplane was damaged beyond repair and both crew members were uninjured. The second airplane involved in the collision was repaired and returned to service.

The airplane departed RAF Wyton at 1748LT on an operation to Münster. During the course of the operation, the crew fought off no less than 15 attacks from the night fighters. Prior to these encounters, the Stirling had been coned in searchlights and was forced down to 3,000 feet before escaping from the beams. While returning to base in the evening, it crashed upon landing and was destroyed. Three crew members were injured.
