Circumstances:
The aircraft was supposed to be delivered to the Spanish Air Forces in Barcelona. Shortly after takeoff from Beauvais-Tillé Airport, the crew encountered an unexpected situation and was forced to attempt an emergency landing. The single engine airplane crash landed in a wheat field, lost its undercarriage and slid for few dozen metres before coming to rest. Both crewmen were uninjured and the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

The aircraft was on a delivery flight to the Dutch National Company based in Amsterdam and should be flown from Long Beach to New York with intermediate stops in Phoenix and Kansas City. While cruising in poor weather conditions on the leg from Phoenix to Kansas City, the airplane impacted the slope of Mt Baldy located some 32 km northwest from McNary. The wreckage was found three days later. All eight occupants were killed.

The pilot, sole on board, took delivery of the airplane at Bristol-Filton Airport and was flying back to RAF Wyton. After landing on a grassy runway, the airplane was unable to stop within the remaining distance, overran and came to rest upside down. The pilot escaped uninjured and the aircraft was destroyed.

En route, the crew encountered poor weather conditions and limited visibility due to fog. In such conditions, the captain decided to divert to La Rochelle-Lagord Airport. For unknown reasons, the airplane landed hard, causing the left main gear to collapse. The aircraft went out of control and slid for few dozen metres before coming to rest with its left wing and left engine partially torn off. Both crew were uninjured and the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

The crew was on his way from Croydon to Madrid with an intermediate stop in Biarritz to deliver the aircraft to the Spanish Air Force (Aviación Nacional). On approach to Biarritz-Parme Airport, the crew encountered marginal weather conditions and initiated a go around. While trying to get height, the three engine airplane stalled and crashed in an open field, bursting into flames. Both crew members were killed and the aircraft was destroyed by a post crash fire. It is not clear if the crew was attempting a first, a second or a third approach when the accident occurred. It is also possible that the aircraft was struck by lightning as the weather conditions were poor at the time of the accident.

A formation of four Short S.19 Singapore Mk III was en route from Pembroke Dock, in the UK, to Singapore on behalf of the 205th Squadron and should be delivered to the 210th Squadron based at Singapore. On the leg from Nisida (a small island near Naples) to Kalafrana, Malta, the seaplane was flying in marginal weather conditions and while coming out of clouds, the aircraft went out of control, dove into the ground and crashed on a hillside. The wreckage was found at an altitude of 1,219 metres, some 25 km west of Messina, Sicily. The aircraft was destroyed by impact forces and a post crash fire and all nine occupants were killed.
