Circumstances:
The crew was performing a reconnaissance flight over the area of Lyon, France. While cruising at night, the twin engine aircraft was shot down by Flak. The crew decided to abandon the aircraft and bailed out. The airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in an open field located in Charvieu-Chavagneux. All five crew members survived and became PoW.

The airplane departed RAF Wyton on a reconnaissance mission over the Netherlands. Just after crossing the Dutch coast, the aircraft was attacked by a German JU.88. The crew was able to evacuate the zone and elected to return to his departure point. With an engine on fire, the aircraft crashed upon landing and was destroyed. All three crew members escaped uninjured.
