Circumstances:
The three engine floatplane departed Stavanger-Sola on a flight to Rantum (Sylt Island) on behalf of the 406th Coastal Aviation Group. It was shot down by enemy fire and crashed somewhere in the North Sea. All six occupants were killed.

Shortly after takeoff from Cootamundra Airport, while in initial climb, the pilot initiated a steep left turn when the airplane stalled and crashed two miles southwest of the airport, bursting into flames. Five crew members were killed and a sixth occupant was seriously injured. The only survivor died few hours later from injuries sustained.

Circumstances:
The aircraft was completing a cross continent flight from Germiston, South Africa, to Heliopolis, Egypt, with intermediate stops in Dodoma, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. The crew attempted to take off in poor weather conditions (strong winds and heavy rain falls). Shortly after take off from Nairobi-Wilson Airport, while climbing to a height of some 500 feet, the twin engine aircraft rolled to the left, entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in a huge explosion. All six occupants were killed.
