Feltwell AFB

The airplane departed RAF Feltwell at 2215LT on June 24 on an operation to Kiel. Approaching the target area, it was shot down by enemy fire and crashed in the small lake of Dobersdorfer, off the village of Dobersdorf, about 10 km east of Kiel. All six crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Feltwell in the evening of May 6 on an operation to Hamburg. While returning to base the following night, it collided with a barrage balloon cable and crashed in the River Humber off Tynemouth. Five crew members were killed and a sixth was injured.

The airplane departed RAF Feltwell at 2000LT on an operation to Berlin. It crashed in unknown circumstances in Meppen, maybe after being shot down by enemy fire. All six crew members became PoW.

While returning to base the following night, the crew had requested Hull to provide searchlight assistance, but this was denied due to enemy air activity in the area. The airplane crashed at 0350LT near Ryhill. A crew was killed and five others were rescued.
