Circumstances:
The single engine airplane departed Vladikavkaz Airport on a skydiving mission, carrying 13 skydivers and two pilots. While flying between Mairamadag and Koban, the crew encountered an unexpected situation and attempted an emergency landing when the airplane impacted trees and crashed in a dense wooded area. All 15 occupants were rescued, among them few were injured, some seriously.

Shortly after takeoff from Derzhavinsk, the pilot was forced to attempt an emergency landing due to technical reasons. The airplane crash landed in a field and came to rest, bursting into flames. The pilot escaped uninjured and the airplane was totally destroyed by fire. The pilot, sole on board, was completing a technical flight.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed Pevek on a cargo flight to Polyarny, carrying one passenger, two pilots and a load of 150 kg of various goods. Approaching the destination, weather conditions deteriorated. In poor visibility, the airplane crashed in the tundra few km from Polyarny. The wreckage was found few hours later and all three occupants were rescued. The captain was seriously injured, the copilot and the passenger were slightly injured. The airplane was a TR-301 version of the AN-2 without the lower wings. Modification were performed by Tekhnoregion under MSN ТR301.21.004.

Circumstances:
The single engine airplane departed Ust-Kara on a schedule service to Naryan-Mar with an intermediate stop in Karatayka, carrying 10 passengers and two crews. Approaching Karatayka, the crew encountered icing conditions and decided to divert to Varandey. Engine power was at maximum but the airplane was unable to climb above 200 metres. In such conditions, the captain decided to attempt an emergency landing when the airplane crashed landed in a snow covered area located some 10 km northwest of Karatayka. A passenger and the captain were killed while 10 other occupants were injured. Shortly before the accident, the crew reported severe icing conditions.
Probable cause:
An emergency landing was necessary because of the inability to continue the flight due to the impact of icing on the aircraft's aerodynamic and thrust characteristics.
The following contributing factors were identified:
- The captain's failure to consider potential risks of the aircraft encountering icing conditions when making the decision to take off;
- The captain's delayed decision to change the flight plan despite receiving information about deteriorating meteorological conditions at the destination, which fell below the established thresholds for VFR (Visual Flight Rules) night flights and indicated the possibility of aircraft icing;
- Non-compliance with VFR rules regarding prolonged flight in actual icing conditions.

The single engine airplane was engaged in a local flight in Prochookopskaya. While attempting to land at night, the airplane collided with the cables of a power line and crashed in a wooded area, coming to rest upside down. The wreckage was found some 10 km north of the Armavir Airport. Both occupants were killed.
Probable cause:
The aircraft collided with the wires of an overhead power line, which had no night markings, with subsequent collision with trees and ground.
The following contributing factors were identified:
- Inadequate experience of the pilot in night flying conditions,
- Violation of the AN-2 flight manual, which prescribes instruments night flights,
- Decision to fly at night to a landing site without adequate light equipment,
- Flying at an altitude lower than the prescribed altitude of unlit obstacles, of which the pilot was aware,
- Decision of the pilot to perform the flight in a reduced crew configuration (without a copilot).

The single engine airplane departed Us-Khatyn on a cargo flight to Vertikal'nyy, carrying one passenger and two pilots. En route, weather conditions worsened and the visibility was reduced due to fog. The airplane impacted tree tops and crashed on the slope of a wooded terrain located about 46 km southeast of the village of Sebyan-Kyuyol. As the airplane failed to arrive at destination (the flight was supposed to be 2 hours and 30 minutes), SAR operations were initiated. The wreckage was found 10 days later, on July 1st, in an uninhabited area. Both pilots were killed and the passenger was found alive after he found refuge in a fishing house where he could find food.
Probable cause:
Controlled flight into terrain after the crew continued to fly under VFR mode in IMC conditions.
The following contributing factors were identified:
- Unreasonable flight decision taken by the flight crew,
- The forecasted weather on the declared route did not ensure compliance with ATC,
- Failure of the pilot-in-command to take timely measures to return to the departure airfield or to take other actions to change the flight plan.

Circumstances:
The single engine airplane departed Koryaki on a cargo flight to Tymlat, carrying two pilots and a load of potatoes and roof tiles. Shortly after takeoff, while in initial climb, the airplane reached a critical angle of attack then entered a stall and crashed in a wooded area, bursting into flames. The wreckage was found about one km from the village. The airplane was totally destroyed by a post crash fire and both occupants were killed.
Probable cause:
The accident probably occurred as a result of its entry into subcritical angles of attack and stall mode after a takeoff with the maximum permissible weight and reduced power of the propulsion system. Most likely, the reduced power was due to the installation of a magneto switch prior to the PM-1 magneto switch to position “1” instead of position “1+2” as required in the flight manual.
The following contributing factors were identified:
- Long flight interruptions of both crew members before the emergency flight,
- Deficiencies in the training and interaction of crew members,
- Insufficient level of flight training, which resulted in a loss of control of the flight speed.

The pilot stated that the departure started normally but that, after becoming airborne, the airplane controls were not responding to his inputs as expected. The airplane continued to pitch up in a nose-high attitude and he was unable to push the control yoke forward, which he described as feeling like he was “stretching” cables with forward pressure. With the airplane’s pitch uncontrollable, he elected to make a rapid maneuver toward an unpopulated area. The airplane descended into trees; after coming to a stop, a fire erupted. A postaccident examination of the flight control system revealed no definitive evidence of preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures. Because the elevator system was extensively damaged and was partially consumed by fire, the investigation was not able to determine the cause of the pitch control anomaly. The airplane’s weight and center of gravity (CG) could not be confirmed. The burned remains of items found in the airplane could not be identified and the location of those items at impact could not be confirmed.
Probable cause:
The pilot’s inability to control the airplane’s pitch during departure for reasons that could not be determined because of the extensive fragmentation and thermal damage the airplane sustained in the accident sequence.
