Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Middleton St George at 2300LT on June 8 on an operation to Dortmund. While returning to base the following morning, it descended through clouds when it crashed in a small wooded valley near Ellingstring, bursting into flames. All five crew members were killed.

Circumstances:
The pilot departed RAF Church Fenton for a local solo training flight. While circling in the vicinity of the airbase at night, the airplane collided with a Defiant registered N1556. Both aircraft crashed in a field near the airfield and were destroyed. Both pilots were killed.

The pilot departed RAF Church Fenton on a local solo training flight. On approach, both engines failed simultaneously and the airplane overshot and crashed. The pilot was slightly injured and the airplane was damaged beyond repair.

The pilot was engaged in a local solo training flight at RAF Church Fenton. Shortly after takeoff, the airplane suffered an engine failure, stalled and crashed half a mile east of the airbase. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot was killed.
