Circumstances:
The crew was performing a test flight from Mexico City to Poza Rica. Few minutes after takeoff, while climbing, the airplane suffered an engine failure, stalled and crashed on a hilly terrain (Cerro El Penon ?). The aircraft was destroyed and all three occupants were killed.
Probable cause:
Engine failure.

En route from Mexico City to Minatitlán, the crew encountered poor visibility due to marginal weather conditions. The airplane impacted the slope of a mountain located some 50 km from Playa Vicente. The wreckage was found four days later. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact and all nine occupants were killed.

Circumstances:
The three engine aircraft departed Mexico City Airport at 1030LT on a charter flight to Guatemala City, carrying four crew members and 10 German tourists. While flying over the area of Amecameca de Juárez, the crew attempted to make a tour of the Popocatépetl volcano and the local National Park. While completing a turn at low speed, the aircraft stalled and crashed. All 14 occupants were killed.

Probable cause:
Prior to the accident, XA-BCB was seen flying at a low altitude, and there was speculation that the pilot, in an attempt to give to his passengers a scenic overview of the terrain, may have lost control during a turn because of an insufficient speed or because the aircraft was caught by downdraft.

SAR operations were initiated and some debris were found three weeks later on local beaches. No trace of both crew members was ever found.

The aircraft, named 'Mexico-Excelsior', was owned by the Mexican daily newspaper 'Excelsior'.
