Marham AFB

The airplane departed RAF Feltwell at 1950LT on September 15 on an operation to Hamburg. While returning from operation the following night, it diverted to RAF Marham where it crashed on approach. Two crew members were killed and four others were injured.

The airplane departed RAF Marham in the evening of September 12 on an operation to Frankfurt. Approaching the target area, it was shot down by enemy fire and crashed in Sevenich. All six crew members became PoW.

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2023LT on September 7 on an operation to Berlin. Passing over the Netherlands, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed in Drachtstercompagnie. All six crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2110LT on September 7 on an operation to Berlin. It crash landed at 0430LT in a wheat field at Hall Farm, Barton Bendish, after flying from the Dutch coast with the starboard engine on fire. All six crew members survived.

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2023LT on September 7 on an operation to Kiel. While approaching the target area, it was shot down by enemy fire and crashed in Schellhorn. The pilot was killed and five other occupants became PoW.

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2003LT on September 3 on an operation to Brest. After being damaged by the German Flak over the target area, the crew returned to base. As he encountered poor weather conditions, he abandoned the airplane that crashed near Horrabridge. All six crew members escaped uninjured.

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2022LT on September 2 on an operation to Ostend. While approaching the target area, it was shot down by enemy fire and crashed into the sea. All six crew members came ashore three days later at Westgate, Kent.

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2014LT on August 29 on an operation to Mannheim. While returning to base the following night, it was probably shot down by an intruder and crashed near RAF Martleham Heath. Five crew members were killed and a sixth was seriously injured. The only survivor died on September 1st from injuries sustained.

While returning to base the following night, the crew diverted to RAF West Raynham where the airplane crashed while trying to land in heavy rain and poor visibility, bursting into flames. All six crew members were injured.

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2008LT on August 27 on an operation to Mannheim. The following night, while returning to base, the crew encountered very bad weather conditions and abandoned the airplane that entered a dive and crashed near Honing. All six crew members parachuted to safety.
