Daegu (대구)

On final approach to Daegu Airport, the crew failed to follow the approach checklist and did not select gear down. An alarm sounded in the cockpit but the crew thought this was an error and pulled out the circuit breaker so the alarm stopped. Despite the situation, the crew failed to double check the three landing gear lights that remained red and continued the approach when the aircraft landed on its belly before coming to rest. All 127 occupants were evacuated, among them 7 passengers were slightly injured. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

Shortly after takeoff from Daegu Airport, while climbing, the aircraft suffered an engine failure, stalled and crashed in a field located 2,7 km east of the airfield. At least one crew member was killed in the crash.

On final approach to Daegu Airport, the pilot-in-command decided to make a go around when the heavy bomber went out of control and crashed in a mountainous area located 6 km northeast of the airfield. All 12 crew members were killed.

While approaching Daegu Airport in reduced visibility, the heavy bomber hit a mountain and crashed 5 km east of the airport. All 14 crew members were killed.

Shortly after takeoff from Daegu Airport, while in initial climb, the airplane hit a mountain slope and was destroyed. All five crew members were killed. They were engaged in a supply mission on behalf of the Greek Expeditionary Force (GEF) in Korea.

During takeoff, a napalm tank accidentally released, damaging a flap. The aircraft went out of control and crashed in flames. There were no fatalities but the aircraft was destroyed by a post crash fire.

While performing a night intruder mission over the Sinanju area, North Korea, the aircraft was hit by enemy fire. The crew was able to evacuate the target area and to return to Daegu Airport, but with two engines inoperative, the airplane crashed on landing and came to rest in flames. Four crew members were killed while eight others were injured. The aircraft was destroyed.

While approaching Daegu Airport in poor weather conditions, the twin engine aircraft went out of control and crashed 10 km west of the airfield. All three crew members were killed. It was reported that the aircraft was out of fuel at the time of the accident.

Crashed on takeoff for unknown reason. Crew fate remains unknown.

While returning to Daegu Airfield after a combat mission, the aircraft crashed on approach. All four crew members were injured.
