The airplane departed RAF Wyton on a positioning flight to Abbeville. While cruising northeast of Le Cateau-Cambrésis, it was shot down by the pilot of a Me.109 and crashed. All three crew members were killed.

The airplane was hit by Flak over the target and the crew decided to evacuate the area and to return to his base. While flying outbound, the starboard propeller fell off. The pilot made an emergency landing near Sint-Kruis. All three crew members survived.

The airplane departed RAF Wyton on a reconnaissance mission over the Netherlands. Just after crossing the Dutch coast, the aircraft was attacked by a German JU.88. The crew was able to evacuate the zone and elected to return to his departure point. With an engine on fire, the aircraft crashed upon landing and was destroyed. All three crew members escaped uninjured.

Circumstances:
While flying in turbulence, the aircraft went out of control and crashed in an open field located in Houghton, south of the RAF Wyton, Huntingdonshire. Three crew were killed while three others were seriously injured. Three weeks later, on 14APR1940, one of the survivors died from his severe injuries. The crew was performing a ferry flight to the Vickers Armstrong facility in Brooklands (Weybridge) Airport as the aircraft was subject to modifications.
