The crew was involved in a combined training exercise with another RAF Lockheed L-414 Hudson registered T9273 and carrying four crew members as well. In flight, both twin engine aircraft collided and crashed into the Solway Firth, off RAF Silloth. All eight crew members on both aircraft were killed.

While cruising at night in the vicinity of the airbase, the twin engine airplane collided with a second RAF Lockheed L-414 Hudson registered N7392 and also carrying a crew of four. Following the mid-air collision, both airplanes crashed in the Solway Firth, some 3 miles southwest of Silloth Airfield. All eight crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Silloth on a night training exercise. En route, one of the engine caught fire. The airplane lost height and eventually impacted the slope of Mt Dent Fell located northeast of Egremont, Cumbria. All four crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Silloth on a navigation training exercise. Prior to the mission, the crew was instructed to remain in areas free of fog and low cloud, however the aircraft ended up in low cloud. People living in the villages to the east of North Barrule heard the aircraft fly over head and then the sound of the aircraft crashing. The airplane crashed in a prairie and was destroyed by a post crash fire. All five crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Silloth on a night training exercise. In unknown circumstances, it crashed in a cliff in Grune Point near Skinburness. All three crew members were killed.
