The airplane departed Ingolstadt-Manching AFB on a flight to Berlin, carrying eight passengers and a crew of three who were going to visit a car exhibition in Berlin. In unknown circumstances, it went out of control and crashed in a wooded area located one km west of Josefov. The aircraft was totally destroyed by impact forces and all 11 occupants were killed.

On final approach to Vienna-Schwechat Airport at night, the aircraft impacted the ground, lost its undercarriage and slid for few dozen metres before coming to rest, bursting into flames. All eight occupants escaped uninjured while the aircraft was destroyed.
Probable cause:
Poor judgement on part of the flying crew who continued the approach at a too low altitude.

Probable cause:
Investigations were unable to determine the exact cause of the accident. There was speculation that a propeller may have broken, tearing loose an engine, or that the pilot may have attempted a sudden pullout from a rapid descent, the manoeuvre over stressing a wing and causing its failure.

En route, weather conditions deteriorated and the visibility was poor due to snow falls. While overflying the city of Berlin, the crew failed to realize his altitude was insufficient when the airplane collided with a powerline and crashed on a street located in the district of Berlin-Wedding. All five occupants were killed and few people on the ground were injured.
