The airplane departed RAF Hampstead Norris on a local training exercise. After a night takeoff, the airplane encountered difficulties to gain sufficient height. It collided with trees located one mile past the runway end and crashed. Three crew members were killed and three others were injured.

The bomber departed RAF Langham on an air gunnery exercise. Shortly after takeoff, it climbed erratically then stalled and crashed near the boundary fence. Three crew members were killed and five others were injured. One of the survivors died from injuries sustained on June 4.

After completing several manoeuvres in the vicinity of the airbase, the crew initiated a last turn to join the approach path when the aircraft stalled and crashed in a field. All three crew members were injured and the aircraft was destroyed.
