Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Hampstead Norris on a local training exercise. After a night takeoff, the airplane encountered difficulties to gain sufficient height. It collided with trees located one mile past the runway end and crashed. Three crew members were killed and three others were injured.

Circumstances:
The crew was performing a training exercise out from RAF Hampstead Norris. En route, the pilot became lost after he encountered poor weather conditions with fog and snow falls. Too low, the airplane impacted the Whichford Hill located north of Chipping Norton. The air gunner was killed and six other crew members were rescued.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Hampstead Norris on a transit flight to Gibraltar with a crew of four on board. On final approach to Gibraltar, both engines stopped and the airplane stalled and crashed into the sea some two km south of Gibraltar. All four crew members were quickly rescued and the airplane sank by a depth of about 40 metres.
Probable cause:
The subsequent investigation revealed that the pilot had very little knowledge of the aircraft’s fuel system and it was his mishandling of the fuel supply that caused fuel starvation and the subsequent accident.

The airplane departed RAF Hampstead Norris bound for Gibraltar, with Malta as its ultimate destination. Almost immediately after takeoff, the bomber crashed, bursting into flames. All 10 occupants who were transferred to the Malta detachment were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Hampstead Norris on a liaison flight to Luqa, Malta, on behalf of the Overseas Aircraft Delivery Unit. Passing over The Channel and while approaching the French coast, it crashed in unknown circumstances into the sea off Quiberville. All six crew members were killed.
