Cessna 208B Grand Caravan

The single engine airplane departed Bhubaneswar-Biju Patnaik Airport at 1220LT on a schedule service to Rourkela, carrying four passengers and two pilots. Following an uneventful flight at an altitude of 8,000 feet, the crew started the descent to Rourkela when he encountered an unexpected situation and declared an emergency at 1314LT. Five minutes later, the pilot attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crash landed in a pasture located 10 km south of Rourkela. All six occupants were injured.

Few minutes after takeoff from Ukunda-Diani Airfield, the single engine airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in Kwale, some 17 km northwest of the departure airport. The airplane was destroyed by impact forces and a post crash fire and all 11 occupants were killed, among them 10 tourists (eight Hungarians and two Germans) en route to the Masai Mara National Park.

After landing on runway 25 at Ilaga-Aminggaru Airport, the single engine airplane was unable to stop within the remaining distance. It overran by few metres, veered to the right and collided with a wooden guard post before coming to rest against the perimeter fence, bursting into flames. Both crew members, a pilot and a technician, escaped with minor injuries before the airplane would be totally destroyed by fire. The crew completed a cargo flight from Timika-Moses Kilangin Airport.

The single engine airplane departed Puerto Ayacucho Airport on a flight to Parima B, carrying eight citizens belonging to the Yanomami indigenous community and two pilots. Few minutes after takeoff, the crew encountered engine problems. The airplane lost height and crashed in a dense wooded area located 14 km east of Puerto Ayacucho Airport. Seven people were killed and three were rescued, among them the copilot.

The single engine airplane departed Cross Keys Runway 27 at 1719LT on a skydiving flight, carrying 14 skydivers and one pilot. Almost immediately after takeoff, the pilot encountered engine problems and decided to return. He completed a left hand circuit, reduced his altitude and attempted to land on runway 27 when the airplane stalled and crashed in a wooded area located near the runway threshold. The accident occurred 4 minutes after takeoff. All 15 occupants were injured, three critically.

The single engine airplane departed Guerrero Negro Airport Runway 30 at 0658LT on a flight to Hermosillo, carrying five passengers and one pilot. About 15 minutes into the flight, the pilot encountered an unexpected situation, reduced his altitude and attempted an emergency landing. The airplane crash landed in an uninhabited and rocky area located in Las Palomas, some 20 minutes after takeoff. All six occupants escaped unhurt while the airplane was destroyed.

The single engine airplane departed Unalakleet Airport Runway 33 at 1538LT on a regular service (flight BRG445) to Nome, carrying nine passengers and one pilot. The airplane continued at an altitude of 7,700 feet for about 30 minutes then the pilot reduced his altitude to 5,300 feet when radar contact was lost at 1516LT. At this time, the airplane was about 70 km from the destination airport. The wreckage was found a day later on sea ice in the Norton Sound approximately 34 miles (54,7 km) southeast of Nome. There are no survivors.

Shortly after takeoff from runway 04L at Honolulu-Daniel K. Inouye Airport, while climbing, the single engine airplane entered a left bank instead initiating a right turn as instructed by ATC. The airplane then descended into the ground and crashed on a vacant building, bursting into flames. The airplane was totally destroyed and both occupants were killed.

Few minutes after its takeoff from Bangkok-Suvarnabhumi International Airport, the single engine airplane went out of control and crashed for unknown reason in a wooded area located in Wat Khao Din, some 30 km southeast of Suvarnabhumi Airport. The airplane disintegrated on impact and all 9 occupants were killed. The airplane was on a service to the Island of Ko Mai Si.

In unclear circumstances, the single engine airplane crashed after takeoff from Mandeng, South Sudan, coming to rest upside down in a marshy field. All four occupants were injured.
