The single engine airplane departed Unalakleet Airport Runway 33 at 1538LT on a regular service (flight BRG445) to Nome, carrying nine passengers and one pilot. The airplane continued at an altitude of 7,700 feet for about 30 minutes then the pilot reduced his altitude to 5,300 feet when radar contact was lost at 1516LT. At this time, the airplane was about 70 km from the destination airport. The wreckage was found a day later on sea ice in the Norton Sound approximately 34 miles (54,7 km) southeast of Nome. There are no survivors.

The airplane departed Northeast Philadelphia Airport at 1805LT on an ambulance flight to Springfield-Branson Airport, Missouri, under callsign MTS56 (Med Jets 56). On board were two pilots, one pediatric patient, her mother and two paramedics. After takeoff from runway 24, the airplane continued to climb to the altitude of 1,650 feet. In marginal weather conditions (light rain and mist), the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed with a high rate of descent on Cottman Avenue, near Roosevelt Mall, about 4,7 km southwest from the end of runway 24. The airplane disintegrated on impact and several buildings and vehicles were destroyed. All six occupants were killed as well as one people on the ground.

The airplane departed Wichita-Dwight D. Eisenhower Airport at 1739LT on a schedule service (flight AA5342/JIA5342) to Washington-Ronald Reagan-National Airport, carrying 60 passengers and 4 crew members. Following an uneventful flight, the crew was cleared to start the descent from the south. On final approach to runway 33, after being cleared to land, at an estimated altitude of 350 feet, while approximately one km short of runway, the airplane collided with a US Army Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk registered 00-26860 and carrying three crew members. Under callsign PAT25, the helicopter was approaching Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling when the collision occurred. Both airplanes dove into the Potomac River. All 64 occupants were killed, among them two world-champion Russian figure skaters as well as 'several members' of the US figure skating community. All three occupants in the Black Hawk were also killed. First fatal accident involving a CRJ-700 and worst accident in the US since November 2001.

Shortly after takeoff from runway 04L at Honolulu-Daniel K. Inouye Airport, while climbing, the single engine airplane entered a left bank instead initiating a right turn as instructed by ATC. The airplane then descended into the ground and crashed on a vacant building, bursting into flames. The airplane was totally destroyed and both occupants were killed.

The pilot was engaged in a five-hour aerial photography mission. While returning to Victoria Airport, he encountered engine trouble and attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crashed on Mockingbird Lane and a feeder road to Zac Lentz Parkway, also known as State Highway Loop 463, Victoria, Texas. The aircraft was destroyed as well as several cars. The pilot and four people on the ground were injured, one seriously.

On final, the airplane lost height and collided with a Lockheed T-33 installed on metallic pylon near the airfield. Upon impact, a part of the right wing was torn off and the airplane crash landed in a field. All five occupants escaped with minor injuries.

During the takeoff roll on runway 22L at Mesa-Falcon Field Airport, after completing a distance of about 3,400 feet and at a speed of 133 knots, the crew decided to abort the takeoff procedure and initiated an emergency braking maneuver. Unable to stop within the remaining distance, the airplane overran, went through the perimeter fence, hit a car moving around on North Greenfield Road and eventually came to rest against trees, bursting into flames. A passenger was rescued while four other occupants, two passengers and both pilots were killed. The car's driver was also killed. The accident occurred in good weather conditions.
