Circumstances:
While returning to base following a night mission to the west front, the crew encountered poor weather conditions with snow falls, strong winds and icing. In a visibility of 30-50 metres, the airplane got iced, went out of control and crashed near the village of Pola, bursting into flames. The pilot was killed and the navigator was injured.
Probable cause:
Loss of control in icing conditions.

Circumstances:
The pilot departed Yelets Airport at 0520LT on a mail flight to Tchern. About six minutes later, while cruising in poor visibility due to marginal weather conditions, he lost control of the airplane that entered a dive and crashed. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot, sole on board, was killed.
Probable cause:
Failure of the pilot who initiated the flight in the early morning without sufficient visibility and his decision to continue under VFR instead of IFR mode.

While in cruising altitude, the airplane collided with a flock of ducks. The engine suffered vibration and lost power. The captain reduced his altitude and attempted an emergency landing in a swampy area located near Kerch. All occupants escaped uninjured while the airplane was destroyed by a post crash fire.
