Circumstances:
The airplane departed Rennes on an operation to Liverpool. While returning at night, the crew encountered foggy conditions and was unable to locate the Rennes Airfield. While trying to land, the airplane collided with fruit trees and crashed in a pond located in Goven, about 11 km southwest of Rennes Airport. A crew member was able to bail out prior to the accident and was injured while all four other occupants were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed Rennes to bomb dockyards at Bristol, Plymouth, Merseyside, Swansea and Cardiff. While cruising at night, the airplane collided with the cable of a barrage balloon and crashed onto a house located 32 Stow Park Avenue in Newport. Three crew members were killed and a fourth was injured. Two children in the house were also killed.

The airplane departed Rennes at 1915LT on a weather reconnaissance mission over the Bristol Channel. While cruising over the area of Chester, the twin engine aircraft was shot down by the pilot of a Spitfire. The captain reduced his altitude and attempted an emergency landing when the aircraft crash landed in a field located in Border House Farm. All five crew members became PoW.
