Circumstances:
The crew departed RAF Moreton-in-Marsh on a cross country training exercise. While cruising in poor weather conditions, the airplane suffered a mechanical failure (low fuel state). The crew abandoned the airplane that dove into the ground and crashed near Tredegar. All five crew members were uninjured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Upwood on a navigation exercice to RAF Llandow, Wales. While cruising north of Pontypool in low visibility due to poor weather conditions, the aircraft impacted the slope of Mt Garn Wern (425 metres high) located in Abersychan. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact and all three crew members were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed Rennes to bomb dockyards at Bristol, Plymouth, Merseyside, Swansea and Cardiff. While cruising at night, the airplane collided with the cable of a barrage balloon and crashed onto a house located 32 Stow Park Avenue in Newport. Three crew members were killed and a fourth was injured. Two children in the house were also killed.
