Circumstances:
The crew departed RAF Upwood on a training exercise. En route, one of the engine failed and the pilot lost control of the airplane that lost height and crashed nearby RAF Grafton Underwood. Both crew members were killed.

It is believed that the pilot failed to follow the procedure while changing the fuel selector, causing an engine to stop.

Circumstances:
The pilot departed RAF Upwood on a formation training exercise. When the leader ordered the pilot the formation to break, the pilot became disoriented and attempted a forced landing at the partially built airfield of Chelveston. The airplane was damaged beyond repair and the pilot escaped uninjured.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Oakington at 1912LT on an operation to Ostend. While returning to base and flying low, it impacted trees and crashed in Preston Deanery, in the east outskirt of Northampton. Five crew members were killed and a sixth was injured.

The airplane departed RAF Polebrook to complete a high altitude test flight. It entered very severe turbulences and this was followed by a structural failure of the right wing. The bomber entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed near Wilbarston, 4 miles weest of Corby. All six crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Oakington at 2300LT on July 14 on an operation to Hanover. Damaged by the German Flak, the airplane returned to base the following morning but ran out fuel. It was abandoned by the crew and crashed into Gold Street in Northampton. The pilot was killed after he slipped out of his parachute. All six other crew members were uninjured.
