Circumstances:
The crew departed RAF Luqa on an operation off the Kerkennah Islands. While flying some 50 miles south of the Maltese coast, the airplane was shot down by a German fighter and crashed into the sea. All three crew members were killed.

The pilot departed RAF Warboys on a solo training mission. For unknown reasons, he was forced to bail out and abandoned the airplane that dove into the ground and crashed near RAF Bottisham. The pilot was injured.

The crew was performing a local training flight at RAF Finningley. On final approach, one of the engine lost power. The airplane stalled and crashed in Bawtry, about 1,5 mile south of the airfield. The air gunner was killed, the pilot was injured and four other crew members were unhurt.

Circumstances:
The crew departed RAF Honeybourne at 1100LT on a test flight consisting of navigation tests and fuel consumption check. While cruising in limited visibility due to poor weather conditions, the twin engine airplane impacted the slope of a hill located near Ponterwyd, some 10 miles east of Aberystwyth. The airplane was destroyed by impact forces and all four crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Woolfox Lodge at 0220LT on an operation to Brest. It was hit by the German Flak over the target area, resulting in a loss of power on the starboard engine. The crew was returning to base when the port engine stopped through lack of petrol and the bomber crash landed near RAF Horsham St Faith in Norwich. All seven crew members escaped uninjured.
