The airplane departed Cairo on a transit flight to RAF Luqa. Approaching Malta from the south, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed into the sea. All three crew members were killed.

At 1431LT, the badly damaged Halifax was ditched some 80 miles south of Lizard Point, Cornwall. Five crew members were rescued.

The twin engine airplane departed Gander Airport at 0840LT on an authorized operational flight (anti-submarine patrol flight) east of Newfoundland. The airplane failed to return to base and no visual or radio contact was made with it from time of takeoff. An extensive search was made for the missing airplane and crew but no trace of either was found.

The airplane departed RAF East Wretham at 1716LT on an operation to Wilhelmshaven. Approaching the target area, it was damaged by the German Flak. The crew returned to base when the left engine caught fire, causing the propeller to fell off. The airplane went out of control and crash landed in the North Sea some 100 km west of Petten. Three crew members were killed and three others were rescued and became PoW.

The floatplane departed Singapore-Seletar Airport on a maritime patrol flight. About 300 km off Singapore, it was attacked and shot down by a Japanese fighter and crash landed into the sea, bursting into flames. All nine crew members were rescued the following morning and returned to Seletar. The airplane sank and was lost.
