Circumstances:
Following an uneventful training mission from RAF St Athan, the crew mistakenly belly landed at RAF Chivenor. The aircraft slid for several yards before coming to rest and was damaged beyond repair. Both pilots were unhurt.
Probable cause:
The crew mistakenly raised the landing gear on approach instead of lowering the flaps.

Shortly after takeoff from Hendon Airfield, while in initial climb, the crew informed ground that the right engine failed and elected to return for an emergency landing. The aircraft lost height and hit tree tops before crashing in a wooded area. All three crew members were killed.
Probable cause:
Engine failure.

The crew departed RAF St Athan on a local test flight. Shortly after takeoff, while climbing, one of the engine failed. The airplane lost height and crashed in the Severn estuary. Three crew members were injured and the pilot was killed.

The airplane departed RAF Topcliffe at 1627LT on December 27 on an operation to Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. While returning to base the following night, it crashed into a small copse near RAF St Athan. All five crew members evacuated safely.
