The float plane departed 'HMS London' cruising in the Mediterranean Sea on a flight to Kalafrana (Birżebbuġa). On approach, the aircraft collided with a power line and crashed in the harbor. Both crew members were killed.

The crew failed to retract the landing gear prior to land on water.

Shortly after takeoff from Belfast-Aldergrove Airport, while climbing, one of the engine failed. The airplane lost height and crashed in a field past the runway end. All five crew members were rescued and the aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

The float plane was engaged in an aerial attack exercice when it collided with a Berliner Joyce registered A9191. Both aircraft crashed one mile south of Seattle-Boeing Field. All five crew members on board the PM-1 were killed while the crew of the Berliner Joyce bailed out. The PM-1 was registered A8294 (6-P-11) - VP-6F.

While cruising in the vicinity of the airfield, the aircraft collided with a second Deutsche Luftwaffe Junkers JU.52/3mge registered S2+P09 and carrying a crew of seven. Both aircraft crashed and were destroyed. All seven crew members on board S2+P09 were killed while the fate of the crew in the second aircraft remains unclear.

Following a bombing exercise off the RAF Penrhos, Wales, a formation of 14 Avro Anson was returning to its base at RAF Bircham Newton with an intermediate stop at RAF Sealand. En route, while flying southwest of Llandudno, the leader went through a foggy area and instructed all other crews to gain altitude. While on the left of the formation, the Anson was flying at a height of some 100 feet when its pilot decided to gain altitude. The twin engine aircraft went out of control and crashed into the sea of Penmaenmawr. All three crew members from the 220th Squadron were killed.
