Wigram AFB (Christchurch)

En route, one of the wing failed. The twin engine aircraft went out of control, dove into the ground and crashed in a field, killing both crew members.

The crew was performing a training flight in the vicinity of the Wigram FB, Christchurch. While flying at low altitude, the twin engine aircraft collided with another RNZAF Airspeed AS.10 Oxford registered NZ1303. Following the collision, the first aircraft dove into the ground and crashed, killing all three occupants. The second aircraft was able to land safely at Wigram AFB.

The crew departed Wigram Airbase on a training exercise. While flying in poor weather conditions, the crew lost control of the airplane that crashed in the Pacific Ocean off the New Zealand coast. SAR operations were initiated but eventually suspended after few days as no trace of the airplane nor the crew was found.

The pilot departed Wigram AFB on a local solo training exercise. While circling in the vicinity of the airbase, the airplane suffered severe damage after flying through a hailstorm and lost height before crashing into the ground about 4 miles from Wigram. The airplane was destroyed and the pilot was killed.

The twin engine airplane departed Birdlings Flat at 1355LT on a return flight to Wigram AFB. Ten minutes after departure, while cruising at an altitude of 900 feet in poor weather conditions (rain falls and low clouds), the airplane impacted the slope of a mountain located in the Gebbies Valley, south of Christchurch. All four occupants were killed.

The crew was completing a local training exercise out from RNZAF Wigram. On approach to the airbase in relative strong crosswinds, the crew lost control of the airplane that crashed into Lake Ellesmere located south of the airbase. Both crew members were killed.

Shortly after takeoff from Wigram AFB, the aircraft banked left and crashed in a huge explosion. The pilot, who was performing a solo training flight, was killed.

The pilot was performing a solo training mission at Wigram AFB and was supposed to complete several touch & go manoeuvres. Following a circuit in the vicinity of the airfield, he landed briefly and then increased the engine power for a new takeoff procedure. While in initial climb, the twin engine aircraft stalled and crashed 3 km from the airbase, bursting into flames. The pilot was killed.

Shortly after take off from Wigram AFB, while on a local training flight, the crew completed a sharp turn when the aircraft stalled and crashed, bursting into flames. The aircraft was destroyed by a post crash fire and both crew members were killed.

The crew was performing a training flight and departed Wigram AFB in the early morning. While flying in the Kaituna Valley, some 20 km south of Christchurch, the crew encountered poor weather conditions and low visibility due to fog. The twin engine aircraft impacted a mountain slope and was destroyed. All four crew members were killed.
