Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Marham at 2228LT on an operation to Hannover. Due to severe turbulence and partial instrument failure, the crew decided to divert to RAF Rackheath then four crew members bailed out. On final approach to RAF Rackheath, the airplane went out of control and crashed less than 2 km from the airfield. Both pilots were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Horsham St Faith at 1522LT on an anti-shipping operation. Over the target area, it was hit by enemy fire but was able to fly back to base. On approach to RAF Horsham St Faith, the airplane impacted trees and crashed, bursting into flames. Two crew members were killed and a third was seriously injured.
