Saltby AFB

The airplane crashed in unknown circumstances near RAF Saltby while completing a night navigation exercise. Both crew members were killed.

The airplane was engaged in a night training exercise out from RAF Saltby. While in cruising altitude in the circuit of the airbase, the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed two miles northwest of the airfield. Two crew members were killed and two others were injured. At the time of the accident, the airplane was in a wheels and flaps down configuration.

The crew departed RAF Cottesmore on a training exercise when the airplane crashed for unknown reasons four miles south of RAF Saltby. Both crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Saltby on a cross country navigation exercise with four crew members on board. Shortly after takeoff, the airplane entered a dive and crashed south of the airfield. All four crew members were killed.
