Circumstances:
The aircraft was flying over the Luhansk oblast at an altitude of some 6,500 metres when it was hit by a surface-to-air missile. All eight crew members were able to bail out. The aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in an open field located in Izvaryne, near the Russian border. Four crew were uninjured, two others were taken prisoners by pro-Russian separatists and two others were killed.

Shot down.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed its base on a special flight to Izvaryne, carrying one pilot, one doctor and one battalion commissioner. Arriving at destination, the pilot tried to find a suitable terrain to land when, completing a last turn at low height, he lost control of the airplane that dove into the ground and crashed. All three occupants were killed. There was no hostile activities in the area at the time of the accident.
