On final approach by night, the airplane collided with an aircraft arrester barrier system located about 80 metres short of runway 06R threshold. On impact, the aircraft nosed down, causing the nose gear to be torn off and the nose to be destroyed. Both propellers detached and both main gear collapsed. The fuselage was bent near the tail. All three occupants escaped with minor injuries.
