Circumstances:
The airplane departed Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport on an operation over England. Approaching the British coast, it was shot down by the British Flak and crashed into the sea off Redcar. All four crew members were killed.

Circumstances:
The crew was involved in a training mission over the North Sea. While returning to his base at night, the pilot was forced to evacuate the area because of the presence of enemy aircraft. Shortly later, the twin engine aircraft crashed in unknown circumstances into the sea off Redcar. No trace of the aircraft nor the crew was found.

While approaching the British coast on a combat mission, the twin engine aircraft was shot down by the pilot of a British fighter. The captain attempted to ditch the aircraft some 15 miles off Redcar. All five crew members were rescued and the aircraft sank and was lost.
