Circumstances:
The crew departed RAF Abootsinch on a training exercise. The airplane crashed in unknown circumstances at Rowbank Reservoir near Lochwinnoch, in the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park. Three crew members were killed and a fourth was injured.
