Circumstances:
The crew was completing a training flight in the region of Barmouth, Wales. While cruising at a height of 1,000 feet, the twin engine aircraft hit the slope of Mt Bwlch y Llan and was destroyed by impact forces. All 4 occupants were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Oakington at 1911LT on March 25 on an operation to Saint-Nazaire. While returning to base the following night, it ran shot of fuel and ditched at 0200Lt in the Barmouth Bay off Barmouth, Gwynedd. At the time of the accident the bomber was many miles west of track and shortly before going into the sea, four crew members bailed out. By good fortune, no one was hurt. The Stirling was later salvaged and taken to RAF Llanbedr.

Circumstances:
The pilot, sole on board, was completing a joyride out from Sywell. While flying over the beach in Barmouth at a very low height, the airplane struck two people standing on the beach and watching a regatta. One of them was killed and the second was seriously injured. The aircraft then lost height and crashed into the Mawddach estuary. The pilot was injured.
