Three ladies on the ground were killed while all six crew members were uninjured.

The airplane departed RAF Honington at 1919LT on February 10 on an operation to Hanover. While returning to base the following night and while some 30 miles off the East Anglia coast, the bomber was hit by AA fire from an Allied convoy. The pilot elected to divert to RAF Martlesham Heath but he overshot the runway and the airplane crashed in a pasture located in Bredfield, about five miles northeast of the airbase. All six crew members were uninjured.

The airplane departed RAF Wyton at 2135LT on an operation to Hanover. While flying over the Netherlands at night, the bomber was attacked by the pilot of a German fighter. The pilot attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crashed in the IJssel some 15 km west of Kampen. Five crew members were rescued and became PolW while a sixth occupant was killed.

Just after a night takeoff from RAF Stradishall, the left engine failed. The airplane sank back onto the runway and came to rest, bursting into flames. All six crew members were quickly rescued and the aircraft was destroyed by fire.
