Vickers 416 Wellington IC

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 0251LT on an operation to Brest. While returning to base the next morning, it went out of control and crashed in East Winch, bursting into flames. All six crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Shallufa to attack the harbor of Rhodes and Scarpanto. Over the target area, it was attacked by the pilot of an Italian fighter and the crew elected to evacuated the zone. Later, the airplane crashed in a mountainous area located near Köycegiz. All six crew members were killed.

The airplane departed RAF Mildenhall at 1820LT on February 11 on an operation to Hanover. On return, while flying above cloud, the crew observer Very lights which were being fired from Waddington. While attempting to get below the cloud baser, the airplane crashed at 0130LT near Digby Airfield. A crew was killed and five others were rescued.

The airplane departed RAF Marham at 1810LT on February 11 on an operation to Bremen. While returning to base the following night, the crew was unable to establish a w/t contact and eventually sighted a searchlight beam pointing along the ground, but as the airplane broke through the cloud, the light was extinguished and a forced-landing was made at 0040LT in the mud of the River Severn some 300 yards from its banks near Frampton on Severn. All six crew members evacuated safely.
