Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Lakenheath at 0020LT on an operation to Dortmund. Passing over Belgium, it was shot down by the German Flak and crashed in Snaaskerke. All eight crew members were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Lakenheath at 0037LT on an operation to Essen. While passing over the Netherlands, it was shot up by a German fighter. The crew was able to leave the area and to return to base with one engine inoperative. After landing, the undercarriage collapsed and the airplane came to rest. All eight crew members evacuated safely.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Lakenheath on a training mission to Ayr. After landing, it was wrecked at 1735LT after ground looping in order to avoid running through the boundary fence. A violent skid developed, during which one of the main oleo legs collapsed. All eight crew members escaped uninjured.
