Circumstances:
The crew was engaged in a training mission at RAF Grantham. While circling in the vicinity of the airbase, the airplane suffered an engine failure. The pilot ordered the wireless operator to bail out and attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crash landed in a field. The pilot was killed while the wireless operator was rescued.

Circumstances:
The crew was involved in a test flight at RAF Waddington. Shortly after takeoff, while climbing, one of the engine failed. The crew lost control of the airplane that crashed just beyond the airfield. A crew member was killed while two others were seriously injured. The aircraft was wrecked. F/S Arnott died from injuries sustained on July 20.
