Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Lakenheath at 2210LT on May 17 for operation in the Daffodils area. Over the target area, it was hit by the German Flak. The pilot was able to leave the area but was later forced to make an emergency landing. The airplane crash landed in a field south of Rødekro. All seven crew members were rescued and became PoW.
