Circumstances:
The twin engine airplane departed RAF Hemswell at 2018LT on March 7 on a patrol flight with a crew of four on board. On final approach to Digby Airport, while completing a last turn, the airplane went out of control and crashed. All four crew members were killed. Evidence suggests the crew has been engaged by the enemy as LAC Wood's body had sustained gun shot wounds.

The crew as conducting a test flight out from Brough. En route, in unknown circumstances, the twin engine aircraft went out of control, dove into the ground and crashed in an open field, bursting into flames. Both crewmen were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Waddington at 1825 on February 26 on a maritime patrol flight off the German coast. While returning to England at night, the aircraft ran out of fuel and crashed three miles south of Grimsby. All four crew members escaped uninjured.

Circumstances:
While on a reconnaissance mission over Germany, the airplane was attacked by enemy fire. The pilot was able to evacuate the are, crossed the North Sea and was eventually forced to attempt an emergency landing when the aircraft crashed at RAF Donna Nook. A crew member was killed and two others were unhurt.

The crew departed RAF Digby on a night anti-aircraft searchlight co-operation sortie. In unknown circumstances, the airplane crashed in Owlet Plantation, in Stockwith. A crew survived after he bailed out while two other occupants were killed.

Circumstances:
The crew as completing approached and landings at RAF Waddington. On final approach in poor visibility, the aircraft appeared out of the gloom flying at a height of about 10 feet off the ground and heading for the Watch Office. The pilot made a sharp turn to the right when he lost control of the airplane that crashed onto a hangar. All four crew members as well as four people working in the hangar were killed.
