The airplane departed RAF West Raynham on an operation to North Western Germany. While returning to base in the late evening, the crew encountered poor weather conditions when the airplane crashed in Coleby. All three crew members were killed.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Ford on a routine night patrol. While returning to base, the crew encountered poor weather conditions. With the radio unserviceable, the crew lost control of the airplane that crashed in South Bersted, in the suburb of Bognor Regis. All three crew members were killed. The accident occurred about 5 km west of RAF Ford.

The pilot departed RAF Upwood on a solo navigation exercice. Following a loss of engine power, he reduced his altitude and attempted an emergency landing when the airplane crashed in a field located in Oakley, northwest of Bedford. The pilot P/O F. Windram was uninjured and the airplane was damaged beyond repair.
Probable cause:
Loss of engine power.
