Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Luqa on an anti-shipping operation off the Libyan coast. Approaching the target area, it was shot down by enemy fire and crashed into the sea off Tripoli. All three crew members were killed.

The pilot was completing a solo training exercise at RAF Upwood. On final approach, the left engine failed. The pilot lost control of the airplane that dove into the ground and crashed near the airfield. The pilot was injured.

Flying over the Strait of Messina, it collided with a second Blenheim registered Z7644 and carrying three crew members. Following the collision, both aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed into the sea. All seven occupants were killed.

Approaching the Libyan coast, it was shot down by an Italian fighter and crashed into the Mediterranean Sea some 96 km north of Tripoli. All three crew members found refuge in a dinghy and drifted till Djerba where they arrive six days later and became PoW.
