The crew was completing a local training mission at RAF Bassingbourn on behalf of the 11th OTU. On approach, the airplane crashed in unknown circumstances in a field located few km from runway threshold. Both pilots were killed.

Circumstances:
The crew departed RAF Upwood on a night training exercise. The pilot got lost and as the airplane ran out of fuel, he attempted an emergency landing when it crash landed in a field located near RAF Bourn. All three crew members were injured. The pilot died from injuries sustained.

Circumstances:
The crew was performing a local night training exercise at RAF Upwood. While completing a turn at low height, the airplane collided with a light pole and crashed onto the flare path. Both crew members were injured while seven airmen on the flare path were critically injured. Five of them died from injuries sustained.

Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Alconbury at 1940LT on March 23 on an operation to Berlin. Over the target area, it was hit by the German Flak which damaged the hydraulics. While returning to base the following night, at 0330LT, while making a second attempt to land, the bomber overshot the runway and collided with a wooden hut and a nearby office trailer. Three crew members were injured.

The airplane departed RAF Wittering in the evening of December 7 to proceed with a check of the blackout over Peterborough. During the patrol, weather conditions deteriorated and the crew encountered storm. The pilot apparently lost control of the airplane that dove into the ground and crashed in a field located in Elton, southwest of Peterborough. Two crew members were killed and a third was injured.
