Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Luqa to attack Italian ships in the Mediterranean Sea. Approaching the Kerkennah Islands off Tunisia, the airplane was shot down by enemy fire and crashed into the sea. All three crew members were rescued by a submarine.
