Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Wattisham to bomb bridges over the Albert Canal near Maastricht. In unknown circumstances, the aircraft crashed in Fouquières-lès-Béthune, southwest of Béthune, bursting into flames. A crewman was killed and two others were injured.
