Circumstances:
The three engine airplane departed Rome on a flight to Eritrea with intermediate stops in Trapani and Tripoli. After takeoff from Rome-Urbe Airport, the airplane encountered difficulties to gain height. It collided with trees located past the runway end, lost height and crashed, bursting into flames. All 20 occupants were killed, among them Captain Rossaldi.
