Circumstances:
The crew was engaged in a test flight out from Fayetteville-Pope AFB. Shortly after takeoff, while climbing to a height of 250 metres, the crew initiated a left turn when left engine failed. The airplane stalled and crashed in an open field located 10 km from the airfield. Two crew members were killed and four others were injured.
Probable cause:
Failure of the left engine after takeoff.
