Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Skellingthorpe at 2110LT on June 3 on an operation to Bremen. Over the Netherlands at night, it was shot down by a German fighter, dove into the ground and crashed in an open field. Four crew members were killed and three others became PoW.
