Circumstances:
On a check flight (after repair of the nose gear) from Khanty-Mansiysk when the pilot performed a roll resulting in the aircraft entering a steep dive, reaching 5.25 g during pull-out at a speed of 620 km/h. The left wing broke off and hit the tail that was sheared off as well. Out of control, the three-engine aircraft crashed in an open field located near the Ob River, 19 km northwest of the airport. All 3 crew members and both unauthorized passengers were killed. The wreckage was found a day later.
Probable cause:
Poor flight techniques on part of the PIC.
