Circumstances:
On a flight from Vilyuisk to Kyubeinde-Ugulet when the engine overheated and lost power while the aircraft climbed through 400 metres. Pilot decided to return to Vilyuisk but the engine failed. He eventually made a forced landing on a swampy terrain located 26 km northwest of Vilyuisk (at N63°54.584" E121°18.048"). The main wheels got stuck in the soft ground, the engine was ripped off, the aircraft caught fire and burnt out. Both pilots and all 9 passengers escaped unhurt.

Engine failure.
