Circumstances:
About thirty minutes after takeoff from Istanbul Airport, bound for Aleppo, engine number one failed. Crew decided to return to Istanbul but the visibility was poor due to low cloud layer. Aircraft hit tree tops and crashed on a hilly terrain near Konia, in the region of Istanbul. While the copilot and the engineer were slightly injured, the captain was unhurt. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

Engine failure.
